To be added to the Search feature in an upcoming update
An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Replace should offer
• for tracks: All tracks of the same type with identical length and/or radius
• for all other elements: Any element of the same typeOptionally the list of available replacements could be filtered by the user to restrict it to elements of the same model scale (or gauge) - only if desired, though. Switching model scales should be possible (useful accessories, symbols, ..)
An error occurred while saving the comment Unfortunately, different vendors use a different track geometry (lengths, radii,
different turnout angles and lengths, ...).
The same applies even to different scale offerings for the same manufacturer, so I'm afraid no automatic mapping is possible between tracks. An error occurred while saving the comment Update 6.4 adds search for layouts (https://www.railmodeller.com/news/railmodeller-pro-6-4-search-point-editor-improved-touch-bar-support.html) -
An upcoming update will enhance the search feature with replace functionality.
An error occurred while saving the comment Definitely planned -
a search/replace feature across layouts, stock and track libraries is scheduled for the near future! -

An error occurred while saving the comment Euler spiral segments could be approximated with a cubic Bezier curve -
a new parametric flex track in addition to the straight and curved types could be an option to offer track transition curves -

Possible duplicate of

An error occurred while saving the comment Would this be covered by the 'Print section of entire track layout' feature request?

You're invited to add your thoughts there!

An error occurred while saving the comment The color should be further customizable to also allow full-white (as it is already the case when printing the layout) for those who prefer it.

An error occurred while saving the comment The comment just indicated what should potentially be included in this feature from an app perspective - sorry about the confusion.
An error occurred while saving the comment Should also include:
• Enable "Snap to anything" for tape measure (joints, rails, points/borders of shapes)
• Lock angle in 45º steps (relative to source) -

An error occurred while saving the comment I'm afraid that's out of the question as it would have ripple effects throughout the entire app and would require a massive rewrite, essentially of almost every component.
However, feel free to send the layout in question to support@railmodeller.com for consideration of the use case
An error occurred while saving the comment So just to clarify -
The idea is to simultaneously change the angle of everything - tracks, elements, baseboards and images - by 90 degrees (left or right) and keep all relative positions?
Effectively swapping the X and Y axis? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Two modes:
- Anchor point selector
- Joint selector, A/B (plain tracks)Compare 'Transform panel' in Affinity products, e.g.
https://affinity.help/publisher/English.lproj/pages/Panels/transformPanel.htmlAn error occurred while saving the comment Position by anchor can be useful in certain cases but it's probably not a very commonly used feature.
Would a positioning popup help, that could be invoked via the contextual menu of an element (or the menu bar)? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Dependencies:
- Requires path information for non-trivial tracks in track libraries
An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for the feedback!
While that would be great to have it would also be quite a lot of work.
However, such functionality could be added as a dedicated, similarly priced new app! -

At this point we can't give any time frame. -

An error occurred while saving the comment So basically this would boil down to
- Selecting a curve track radius
- Selecting a switch
- Performing a variation of the 'Close Gap' function for both straight segments(gray in attached image)
Could be interesting if there's enough traction for this idea in the user base.

An error occurred while saving the comment Sounds like a great idea, though it's more complicated if you think about it in more detail -
The app can give you the optimal number of flex tracks that need to be purchased, but you'd then have an amazing puzzle at your hand figuring out how to cut the flex tracks into pieces and where the individual pieces would go on your layout..
I.e. just providing a number (minimum number of flex tracks) unfortunately isn't a satisfactory solution.
Having said that, we're thinking about a pragmatic approach! -

Filtering the library catalog by favorite elements or elements in stock is on the to-do list!
An error occurred while saving the comment Recent versions add the ability to filter the Library Catalog to only include items present in the stock
An error occurred while saving the comment This will be part of the custom library sorting feature
An error occurred while saving the comment ..that would make sense for favorite *libraries*, right?
My understanding is that this request is about favorite *elements* withing a library.
Kinda like a stock for parts you don't necessarily own (yet). -

An error occurred while saving the comment A dedicated point editor for entering precise coordinates of baseboard corner points will be included in the next major update.
An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for the feedback!
In the short term we're also planning to enable editing the individual coordinates of baseboards (as well as lines, polys, ..), which might also help getting precise baseboard shapes.

We’re planning to add presets for baseboards – user created or ready-made presets bundled with the app – to the baseboard assistant.
Presets for various T-Trak modules as well as commercial vendors (e.g. www.modelrailroadbenchwork.com) would then be offered to e.g. insert a T-Trak single-module with 2-3 clicks!

An error occurred while saving the comment This same limitation currently applies to slot car tracks with multiple lanes.
An error occurred while saving the comment At this point grades are restricted to plain tracks, i.e. not for complex tracks like crossing, switches or multi-lane slot car tracks.
The height can be set for any kind of track, though. -

The Library Editor optional add-on for creating and editing custom/private libraries will be available soon
An error occurred while saving the comment Creating custom track libraries will be possible with the Library Editor module currently used internally and to be released as an optional add-on for all users soon.
That would be the request - i.e. a new feature to change track while keeping position, elevation, grade, color, layer, etc.
