An error occurred while saving the comment RailModeller Pro 6.0.4 introduces the "Shift Tracks Up/Down" functionality to adjust track heights for an arbitrary selection of track elements whilst keeping the grades.
An error occurred while saving the comment The interactive height adjustment tool is scheduled for an upcoming v6.x release
An error occurred while saving the comment Absolutely - multiple tracks should be easy to adjust in height no matter how they're connected. The planned 'Change Height' tool is supposed to address this (in the coming weeks).
An error occurred while saving the comment Also in relation to https://railmodeller.uservoice.com/forums/249335-railmodeller-feature-requests/suggestions/11535912-be-able-to-relatively-adjust-height-of-multiple-tr
a new tool to simply push/pull a track to adjust its (+ connected tracks) height while keeping grades could make track height adjustments less tedious. An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for the feedback -
could you name some of the other programs you've mentioned so we can have a look? Cheers!

An error occurred while saving the comment Scheduled for a future update once the Document tab in the sidebar has been reorganized (like e.g. Pages > Format to use sub-areas making it easier to find a specific setting)
An error occurred while saving the comment Just clarifying -
Is this a request for more granularity what types of elements have labels displayed?
(e.g. a list of check boxes for tracks, shapes, baseboards, other types)Or having the ability to individually turn labels on/off for every element in the layout?

Scheduled for a future update once the Document tab in the sidebar has been reorganized
An error occurred while saving the comment Yes - short answer is that the Document > Settings tab is starting to get messy and will be reorganized like e.g. Pages > Format to use sub-areas making it easier to find a specific setting.
We have a bunch of extended label settings on our roadmap once we have 'made room' in the user interface.
It would make sense to also show the grade labels control there, plus offer additional settings for those! -

An error occurred while saving the comment Anchor matrix for all elements other than plain tracks with 1-2 joints
An error occurred while saving the comment Two modes:
- Anchor point selector
- Joint selector, A/B (plain tracks)Compare 'Transform panel' in Affinity products, e.g.
https://affinity.help/publisher/English.lproj/pages/Panels/transformPanel.htmlAn error occurred while saving the comment Position by anchor can be useful in certain cases but it's probably not a very commonly used feature.
Would a positioning popup help, that could be invoked via the contextual menu of an element (or the menu bar)? -

We’re planning to add presets for baseboards – user created or ready-made presets bundled with the app – to the baseboard assistant.
Presets for various T-Trak modules as well as commercial vendors (e.g. www.modelrailroadbenchwork.com) would then be offered to e.g. insert a T-Trak single-module with 2-3 clicks!
An error occurred while saving the comment Inching closer -- The recent maintenance update adds a triangular baseboard template.

An error occurred while saving the comment A simulation mode building on a completely reimagined 3D mode - currently penciled in for Version 7 - is something we're looking at for a future release.
Rolling stock would have to be included as in-app purchases to make this viable.

- Requires path information for non-trivial tracks in track libraries
An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for the feedback!
While that would be great to have it would also be quite a lot of work.
However, such functionality could be added as a dedicated, similarly priced new app! -

An error occurred while saving the comment We're in the early stages of developing a completely reimagined 3D mode for Version 7.
Please note that the schedule is currently penciled in and subject to refinementAn error occurred while saving the comment Quick update:
The current "Tracks 3D" view is a temporary solution in order to enable users to view and navigate the layout in 3D.
Our road map includes a much enhanced 3D mode:
• awesome graphics
• full terrain modeling (editing elevations)
• all structures placed at arbitrary heights
• dedicated, fully three-dimensional objects (and editors) for trees, houses, .. -

Scheduled for major update 6.5
An error occurred while saving the comment Should also include mirroring of baseboard geometry.
Potentially flip images in the layout as well.An error occurred while saving the comment Status Update:
Commencing the modification of all 270 track libraries to specify the 'mirror' component for every turnout, laying the foundation for the soon-to-arrive 'Flip Layout' capability.
An error occurred while saving the comment We’re planning to make this functionality available once our new library editor - with the ability to mark up counter-parts of elements (left <-> right switch) & currently under heavy construction - has been completed!
An error occurred while saving the comment A mirror function would indeed be nice.
But such a function is not so trivial as it may seem:Currently there's no way for the program to know that switch A has to be replaced with switch B, the right handed variant, to obtain a properly mirrored track section.
However, the new library editor currently under development will allow to flag parts as mirror parts/pairs that would enable such a feature in the future!

An error occurred while saving the comment Two precision settings for 1/16 and 1/32 sound like a reasonable default!
An error occurred while saving the comment Copy that! A switch to toggle between different precisions might be useful.
An error occurred while saving the comment When working on construction projects with imperial units, is it common to work with a 1/16 'resolution'?
To my understanding you're effectively limited to a precision of ~1,6 millimeters.

To be added to the Search feature in an upcoming update
An error occurred while saving the comment That would be the request - i.e. a new feature to change track while keeping position, elevation, grade, color, layer, etc.
An error occurred while saving the comment Replace should offer
• for tracks: All tracks of the same type with identical length and/or radius
• for all other elements: Any element of the same typeOptionally the list of available replacements could be filtered by the user to restrict it to elements of the same model scale (or gauge) - only if desired, though. Switching model scales should be possible (useful accessories, symbols, ..)
An error occurred while saving the comment Unfortunately, different vendors use a different track geometry (lengths, radii,
different turnout angles and lengths, ...).
The same applies even to different scale offerings for the same manufacturer, so I'm afraid no automatic mapping is possible between tracks. An error occurred while saving the comment Update 6.4 adds search for layouts (https://www.railmodeller.com/news/railmodeller-pro-6-4-search-point-editor-improved-touch-bar-support.html) -
An upcoming update will enhance the search feature with replace functionality.

a search/replace feature across layouts, stock and track libraries is scheduled for the near future! -

An error occurred while saving the comment Euler spiral segments could either
- be approximated with a cubic Bezier curve - a new parametric flex track in addition to the straight and curved types could be an option to offer track transition curves.
- a new kind of track featuring a sequence of curves with progressively increasing radii.

An error occurred while saving the comment So basically this would boil down to
- Selecting a curve track radius
- Selecting a switch
- Performing a variation of the 'Close Gap' function for both straight segments(gray in attached image)
Could be interesting if there's enough traction for this idea in the user base.

An error occurred while saving the comment Sounds like a great idea, though it's more complicated if you think about it in more detail -
The app can give you the optimal number of flex tracks that need to be purchased, but you'd then have an amazing puzzle at your hand figuring out how to cut the flex tracks into pieces and where the individual pieces would go on your layout..
I.e. just providing a number (minimum number of flex tracks) unfortunately isn't a satisfactory solution.
Having said that, we're thinking about a pragmatic approach!
Maintenance update 6.4.25 improves the Close Gap and Connect with Flex Track assistants:
Both now handle connecting tracks on different levels automatically grading the inserted tracks.
