Ability to set the maximum grade/elevation
Currently the maximum elevation is set to 10%, hard coded in the SW. For rack rail it is no problem to have it to 35%.
Would be nice when it is possible to set the maximum elevation by the user, 10% for example is already 'a lot' for standard tracks.
Having two limits would be the way to go:
1: The current 10% that can be set by the user, when you go over it, you get a warning, not a message that it is not possible.
2: The upper limit, for example 35%, where you get the message that it is not possible.

Hi Harald,
thanks for your input. It's on the to-do list but unfortunately resources for a small project like ours are limited.

Hi,
"Max. elevation per layout will be added soon." was stated November 2016.
I want to model Rackrail, which slope goes up to 35% ..
Please add this 10% maximum to Preferences or add some Override button in the dialogbox.

Additional note:
Max. elevation constraint will be added as an optional setting for each layout.
All layout constraints will appear as messages or warnings and won't prevent users from 'violating' them. -
Max. elevation per layout will be added soon.
Grades >10% - which is already very steep, usually 4-5% shouldn't be exceeded - are a problem since at this much inclination tracks are starting to get significantly shorter (as viewed from above) and we cannot guarantee the connections between tracks make sense any more..
