Export to JMRI
I'm a Mac user of JMRI, in fact most of the code is written on Macs. I just got notice that AnyRail (PC only) has created an export to JMRI (specifically to its PanelPro component) that allows a track plan to be exported from AR, imported into PP and then run the layout using JMRI's controls.
I'd really like to see an export for RM.
JMRI Export is now available in RailModeller Pro 6.1

Unfortunately that's not possible as there is not enough information in JMRI files to reconstruct or reverse-engineer an actual train layout with actual tracks.

July 2018 Update: JMRI Export is currently in (private) beta and scheduled for public release with the upcoming RailModeller Pro 6.1

The JMRI export functionality is now in early beta testing stage.
Please get in touch via our support email address if you'd like to participate in the early beta and provide feedback on the JMRI exporter!
-
We currently have an internal working version exporting layouts to the JMRI PanelPro app and a beta for uses interested in the export should be available in the next few weeks!

Hows the export coming along? I'm keen to help beta test this if its getting close and have signed up as a tester.

Quite a lot of progress since earlier this year actually -
we've introduced a much improved library file format that now includes information about each track required by JMRI.We've also had a lot of help from a community member figuring out details of the JMRI export and we're expecting an early beta later this year.
Please get in touch via our support email address if you'd like to participate in the early beta and provide feedback on the JMRI exporter!

Great idea!

There's some progress on JMRI export - we're planning to make the export available once our new library editor with the ability to mark up types of elements (left, right switch etc.) as required by JMRI has been completed!
-
Quick update: JMRI export is still on the road map with some work already started.
Due to the way JMRI expects data about a layout this work item however relies on our new Library Editor (currently under heavy constructions) to be available first.

Is it also possible to make een export to iTrain? The layout is written in XML but has his own extension.

JMRI is definitely a cool project and there's been exports available for other track planning packages for years.
An JMRI export for RM is certainly an option and we'll allocate some time for implementing the export if the request proves popular!
